The L3 Analytics Approach to Web Analytics
The tagline for L3 Analytics is “making it simpler to understand and improve your online business performance”. This leads to two key principles in the approach L3 Analytics takes when working with clients.
Web Analytics is about providing business owners and stakeholders with the intelligence they need to make decisions that improve business performance. This is the end goal for all work performed by L3 Analytics with every project contributing towards this aim. The focus on improving performance rather than just ticking off projects ensures that clients receive a high level of value from working with L3 Analytics.
If the intelligence from web analytics cannot be understood, it cannot be used to improve business performance. As such, it is critical for web analytics to be useful and accessible to stakeholders at all levels of an organisation. It can’t be seen as just another stack of reports but instead as a source of key pieces of information.
To achieve this aim, L3 Analytics makes this commitment:
- Presentations will contain only relevant pieces of information with the focus being on what actions should be taken. Data will be included but it is there to explain and justify these recommendations.
- Dashboards will be easy to read with the important numbers highlighted. Numbers will be supported by visual representations.
- Training will be based around what stakeholders need to know to make their job easier.
- Documents will be written in plain English with information on what tags need to be added (for the developers) but also why this is important and what data will then be available (for business stakeholders).
